Abelé 1757 Rosé: A Gourmet and Balanced Champagne

21 March 2025

A true symbol of elegance and refinement, the Abelé 1757 Rosé cuvée embodies all the expertise of Maison Abelé 1757. This rosé champagne, a true ode to finesse and indulgence, captivates with its delicate aesthetics and enchanting flavors.

The latest iteration of this cuvée has been meticulously reimagined and refined by our Cellar Master, Étienne Eteneau, to better reflect the values and unique style of Maison Abelé 1757.

A Precise and Artisanal Creation

To craft this rosé champagne, our Cellar Master produces a rosé de macération using Pinot Noir from Les Riceys, chosen for their rich and fruity aromas. This rosé de saignée is obtained by briefly macerating the black grape skins with their juice. This natural extraction of color and aromas gives the wine a more intense hue and vibrant red fruit flavors.

The blend is then enhanced with Chardonnay, the emblematic grape of our House, bringing freshness and vivacity. The final composition of this cuvée is 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay.

Additionally, 30% reserve wines are incorporated, ensuring consistency and aromatic complexity in this non-vintage champagne. After a minimum aging period of three years in our Reims cellars, the cuvée reveals its full depth and generosity.

Les Riceys: An Exceptional Terroir in Champagne

The Pinot Noir from Les Riceys plays a vital role in our rosé cuvées. This village, located in the Côte des Bar, is renowned for its unique terroir. Its chalky soils and optimal sunshine exposure produce grapes of exceptional quality. These ideal conditions allow for the creation of rich and expressive wines, including both champagnes and the famous Rosé des Riceys, prized for its rarity and distinctive character.
